School age programs for children attending Elementary School

 As children mature and gain independence, they need new challenges. Their need for safe and appropriate challenges is why we offer school-age enrichment programs that address the changing and more varied needs of growing school-age children. Play-based activities that involve aspects of reading, math, and science ensure that your child's mind is engaged to create a lifelong love of learning and inquiry. Our After School and Summer Camp programs are most suitable for children who are attending or completed kindergarten through rising fourth graders. (Children who are attending kindergarten, or public school VPK, will join our four and five year old class during their before and after school care while in VPK & kindergarten.)

Each afternoon children enrolled in our 1st through 5th Grade After School Program receive at least thirty minutes of homework help from Dr. Kathryn, who has a degree in elementary education and a doctorate in educational psychology. Ms. Lori, our after school teacher, is an experienced music and drama teacher. Our After School Program includes children in a monthly community service, completed at the center. We are always searching for community service project appropriate for this age group and welcome your input! Howell Branch Academy also provides transportation to Eastbrook Elementary School in the morning and transportation to and from Eastbrook Elementary and Red Bug Elementary in the afternoon. 

Each school break we offer unique enrichment camps for children (rising first graders through rising fourth graders) for full day care. Children enjoy field trips as well as fun activities at the center. Snacks are provided twice a day; however, campers bring their own packed lunch. Children who are entering kindergarten in 2022 can enjoy full day care with our talented VPK teachers and are served a hot lunch daily.
